Sometimes a color can dictate the feel of a room. I found the perfect gray towels for this bathroom a while back. I had wanted to paint the walls gray, but just haven't found the time lately.
I think by adding an old door knob on a board from which a gray towel can hang has added the feel I wanted for this room...at least for now. Enjoy! xoxo K.
Not very much counter space in this small bathroom that my daughter's use, but I like this vignette with the silver tray and urn. Add a candle and some soap with lavender and that's all you need.
I still like my wire basket hanging on the wall holding towels and also love the look of adding vintage French paper to a potted plant or candle.
I added some items to my Etsy store last night and wanted to share just a few with you.
Wire egg basket, grainsack , small french book and Mother of Pearl rosary are a few items available for sale. Thanks to all who have supported my Etsy store.

Our weather here in the PNW has been absolutely amazing this Spring and everything in our yard is growing like crazy. My lilac bush seemed to bloom all at once, so I figured I had better bring some in the house before they were all done.
Am I the only one who loves their scent? The lovely aroma is filling up my whole house and it is just heavenly! This large pitcher is overflowing with lilac blooms and I added some to the chicken feeder centerpiece in my dining room as well, but I figured I've already shared that with you too many times as it is. The color is a nice addition to my neutral palette. Enjoy! xoxo K.
I've been busy trying to get ready for The Farm Chicks show that I am a vendor at this year the first weekend in June. I might be a little absent from my blog between that and getting all the yard work done while the nice weather lasts.

I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far. After I picked my daughter up from school yesterday, we went to our local nursery to buy some annuals for the pots on my porch and patio. I'm like a kid in a candy store and love picking out what I'm going to plant each year.
Pansies are what I have planted in pots during Fall and Winter and these will be replaced with my new blooms, so I decided to take some photos of them before they are gone. It kept looking like it might rain this afternoon so I decided to bring this pot inside by this bright window in my bedroom to share with you. Enjoy! xoxo K.
I've been trying to shoot manually lately and have been messing around with metering. I wish photography came easier to me because I love the display part of it, but it can be so frustrating at times and still can't seem to get my lighting right. I guess I'm learning as I go and realized after I posted my last post that my white balance was wrong leaving those photos yellowish instead of white like they actually should have been. Not really sure why I didn't notice before I published, but was rushed for time. Maybe someday it will click and my photos will turn out like I want them to.

This week sure flew by and I can't believe it's already Friday. Spring is such a busy time with all my kids' activities and it's harder for me to find the time for blogging. I did, however, want to share a pretty Spring bouquet I put together recently for our powder room. Enjoy! xoxo K.
They have been having a sale on tulips at my local Safeway and these purple ones really caught my attention. I added in some of lilacs from one of my bushes that are almost blooming. Not sure what it is about purple lately, but I seem to be drawn to it. This afternoon after my daughter's appt. I stopped in at Lowe's to get some boxwoods to plant this weekend and was surprised to see so many purple blooms that I love.
We have been having some amazing weather this past week and I can't wait to get out in my garden and get my hands dirty over the weekend......it's the simple things in life. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend as well!

For a couple of years now I have been admiring Restoration Hardware's linen dining room chairs, but just could not justify the price. I knew the style would fit perfectly in my dining room around my farm table, so I have been patiently waiting.
Well, my wait paid off when I walked into World Market about a month ago and there sat my beloved linen chair with the round back and they were even on sale. I was so excited and ordered six of those beauties as fast as I could! I love the elegance they bring to this room and they are so comfortable. Enjoy! xoxo K.
My camelias bushes right outside these windows are in full bloom so I brought some white ones inside to enjoy.
These chairs look right at home with my ruffled burlap tablecloth.
I also recently purchased these white gauze ruffled curtains for this room. They are Simply Shabby Chic and I found them at Target. They allow more light in than the burlap ones did and that is important when living in the PNW with our dreary Winters.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected in Boston yesterday....such a tragedy!

Well, I finally did it! I can't tell you how long I've been talking about opening an Etsy store and not really sure why it took me so long, but I guess life just happens.
I've been collecting some items to share with you for a while and thought I'd post what I've listed so far. I'm hoping to add new items every week or two depending on how fast things sell. Thanks for all your support over the past few years and if you like what you see, I hope you will hop on over and check it out. Enjoy! xoxo K.
I will mostly be selling vintage items and am hoping to have quite a bit of French goodies as long as I can keep finding them to restock. You can check on my FaceBook page, as I will be posting there when I add new items. I am also currently offering Free Shipping on all my items to the continental United States only.
I do have more similar Mother of Pearl French rosaries that I will be listing in the future along with some more grainsacks, keys, ticking fabric and books, so keep checking back if you are interested in any of those items.
I hope you enjoy your week:-)
